A FEW GUIDLINES TO HELP YOU TO FEEL AT HOME

Your yoga practice begins when you walk in the door. Relax, take a second to turn off your phone and remove your shoes once you enter the studio area (the shoe racks just inside the studio area are a convenient location to leave your shoes) as a way of respecting the ancient tradition. We have installed bamboo floors throughout the studio and studio area to maintain hygiene as opposed to carpeting. Enjoy a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Please respect the practice space by leaving all personal belongings (purses, yoga bags, phones) in the change rooms.

Please arrive at least 15 min. early and allow time to sign in. Not only will you feel more relaxed but if you are late unfortunately we will not be able to let you into the class.

Try not to eat any heavy meals 2-3 hours before practicing. Arrive well hydrated. We have a water drinking spout outside the studio where you can fill your water bottles.

If you are pregnant we do not recommend hot yoga. If you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor. Please inform your teacher before class if you have any questions, concerns and /or injuries.

Please be silent in the yoga room. Refrain from loud volume conversation outside of class. Please do not snap release your mat and respect those already in meditation before the class begins.

Cleanliness is divine, Respect your body temple and those around you. Not everyone believes in "natural" scent. This includes your yoga mat. Wash it regularly with hot, soapy water. Also refrain from wearing any perfume or scented oils in class.

If you have any foot fungus, planter warts, etc. please treat it immediately as many are very contagious. Please cover them..

For hot classes please bring a yoga mat, beach sized towel and drinking water for your practice. We have yoga mats available for rent ($1.50) or for sale. We have towels available for rent ($2.00) We provide filtered water so you can bring your own refillable bottle. You may purchase a reusable aluminum bottle from us.

We suggest that you wear light, comfortable clothing in which you can move easily. Tank tops, capris or shorts made of quick-dry or wicking fabrics are recommended since the studio is heated to 75-80F for flow and 95-99F for hot classes to provide an environment where you can move and stretch safely.

Our retail boutique, FAB Om ActiveWear has a wide selection of stylish yoga inspired activewear along with many other activewear clothes.

Our intent is not to try to bend you into a pretzel, but it is for you to move through the practice the best that you can, you will learn to let go of the voice inside your head that says “I can’t” and most importantly don’t forget to relax and have fun. Regular practice is necessary to receive full benefits. If you are sore the next day that’s normal, this is your body awakening.

Just keep practicing.

Our philosophy: calm mind active body... inspired life.
